<p>Surface of oxide ceramic part is prepared by grinding and/or polishing at positions to be joined with metal. Base metal alloyed with a material (I) which is capable of reacting with oxide ceramic by reduction at a temp. below oxide ceramic sintering temp. is pressed against oxide ceramic surface and heated to a temp. below metal alloy melting temp. Heating time depends on content of (I) in metal alloy and is inversely proportional to (I). Pref. base metal is Cu and (I) is of li, while for BeO-ceramics, esp. Be is used as (I). Products are useful for electrical industry, esp. high frequency techniques, e.g. thermionic valves and magnetrons.</p> |
