SHAPE CONTROL ROLLING MILL

摘要

PURPOSE:To enable the material to be rolled without causing edgs drop even when it becomes narrower in width than the work roll by axially movable disposing two pieces one set of backup rolls behind the work roll. CONSTITUTION:Each one set of backup rolls 8 which assume one set with two pieces is installed behind the work roll 2 to constitute 6 stage rolls. Two pieces of these backup rolls 8 are axially moved in mutually oposite directions to be so deviated and disposed that the end e1 of one roll aligns to the side end edge S1 at one side of the materlal 1 to be rolled and that the end e2 of the other roll aligns to the other side end edge S2, after which the work roll bearings are moved in the direction of expanding the roll gap and the side end edge S1 of the material 1 to be rolled is horizontally moved to the backup roll sides where the roll ends e1 array, whereby the end part of the work roll 2 is deformed in the dirction of offsettig edge drop deflection.
