摘要 In the compact structure of fuel cells disclosed in the Parent Patent in which bipolar electrodes formed from porous sheet and separated by semipermeable membranes, have elongated projection on each face which are sufficiently close to each other and are elongated in different directions from one electrode to the next so that any risk of telescoping of the electrodes and damaging the membrane is eliminated, the system of electrodes being constituted by several elementary rows of rectilinear segments each occupying a strip parallel to the edge of the electrode between which the electrolyte flows, two successive grids being symmetrical with respect to a straight line parallel to the edges of the electrode between which the flow takes place, the improvement whereby the rows of rectilinear segments make an angle of more than 15 degrees and less than 30 degrees with the overall direction of flow of the electrolyte from one edge of the electrode to the other.
