A press mould for boneless ham consists of an upper and a lower part, made of Al or an Al alloy. The inside surfaces are shotblasted, treated in chromic acid, and are sprayed with a thermosetting plastic to a thickness of 6-8 mu. Curing at 200 degrees C and hardening by an amide-based catalyst ends the treatment. This creates anti-stick surface for ham after boiling it at 90 degrees c. The plastic coating has a good adhesion to Al.
|
