Pyridyl or quinolyl amino-styryl aminophenyl pyrazoline cpds. - useful in charge transport layer of electrophotographic material

New 1-pyridyl- or quinolyl-3-aminostyryl-5-aminophenyl-2-pyrazoline cpds. are of formula (I) (where R1 and R2 are each alkyl gps. or together with the N atom form a ring, and X is apyridyl or quinolyl gp., opt. with alkyl or alkoxy substit(s). (I) are specified for use in electrophotographic materials, esp. those with a substrate having charge-producing and charge transport layers (in which they transport defect electrons). They are much better than the familiar triarylpyrazoline cpds. w.r.t. repeated charging characteristics.
