A clutch device for holding together two articles of jewellery such as earrings, pins, etc. comprises a tubular housing 10 closed at the front end except for a small central axial opening 14. A coil spring 16 is mounted in said housing, the rear end of the housing 18 being swaged to lock the spring in place after assembly. The rear end is also provided with a large central opening 20. The front end of the spring, adjacent the front opening, is turned inwardly toward the axis of the spring to form a friction grip for the second part of the clutch, which is a pin having a diameter enabling it to enter the front opening of the clutch. <IMAGE> |
