Indirect control of work bench movement - using pulse generating controller moving in similar coordinate system

A device for indirectly moving a work bench pref. in one plane using a control organ is designed to achieve motion between two points by the shortest path. This is achieved more easily than with conventional devices. The movement of the control element is identical in direction and distance covered to that of the table or proportional in distance and identical in direction. The control element is moved in a coordinate system with marker lines or points sensed by elements generating control pulses used to drive the table positioning elements.
