<p>The hinge for use on motor vehicles, is made up from sheet-metal plate components, with one hinge wing carrying the hinge pin in a bearing block, and the other bearing a hinge eye. The two wings (2, 3) are folded out of pieces of sheet metal cut to shape; they have a one-piece approx. T-shaped outline. In both wings all the holes (24, 25) and/or other fixture fittings may be sited in cross beams on the T-shaped piece, and the centre part (19) of this beam can form the wing stop plate. This is simple, and can be readily used in a confined space, wings can be produced automatically, with min.. material wastage.</p> |
