For digital-analog conversion, bit outputs, which do not correspond to each other by place value at least in one group, of a counter (Z) which is affected by a count pulse sequence, are continuously compared to a number memory (Sp) which contains a digital value. The time which elapses from an initial state of the counter (Z) to the moment when the two numerical values become equal defines the mark-space ratio of a pulse signal. All the bit outputs of the counter (Z) are displaced, relative to the bit outputs of the memory (Sp) which are compared with them, in the direction of increasing place value on the memory side, and by a preset number of bits. Therefore, bit outputs of the counter (Z) at its highest place value end are opposite bit outputs of the memory (Sp) at its lowest place value end in the given number. An increment is added to the bits which follow the lowest place value bits of the memory (Sp) on each pass of the counter (Z), provided that the numeric value which is present at the lowest place value bit outputs of the memory (Sp) is greater than the instantaneous content, of the highest place value bits of the counter (Z), which is compared with it. <IMAGE> |
