1331650 Strip fasteners INTERNATIONAL FASTENER ESTABLISHMENT 29 Dec 1970 61550/70 Heading E2S A "press-on, split-off" type fastener has each fastener member A formed of thermoplastic resin in the shape of a plurality of corrugated strips a arranged in parallel side by side each of which has curved ridges 11 and grooves 12 in staggered relationship relative to those of the adjoining strips. In fastening, two or more such members A are pressed together so that the ridges in one fit into the grooves of the other and vice versa. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2 either side of the strips may be used since they are identical. To aid in gripping lateral projections 14 Fig. 8 may be provided on the lateral edges of the ridges and/or grooves. These projections may be in the form of barbs (Fig. 11 not shown). The corrugations in the strips need not necessarily be sinusoidal; in Fig. 13 the strips consist of 'repeated' ridges or grooves. |
