<p>A method and apparatus for treating under pressure aqueous liquids with ozone are disclosed employing a plurality of eductor-fed liquid treatment tanks in series for treatment of a stream of liquid. An upstream eductor-fed tank entrains and treats a stream of raw liquid with a residual ozone-containing gas stream, cycled upstream from a downstream treatment tank, and thereafter a downstream eductor-fed tank entrains and treats the discharge with a fresh ozone-containing gas stream. A continuous closed liquid treatment system and recycle of ozone carrier gas are provided. This invention thus provides full utilization of ozone-containing gas streams and balances that utilization with the requirements of decontamination or ozonization of aqueous streams in a continuous system.</p> |
