Immersion of hollow magnetic objects - aided by magnets in bottom of bath

Hollow workpieces, to be treated by immersion in a liquid in a tank are held below liquid level by means of a magnetic field which counteracts their buoyancy. A magnet plate on or below the tank bottom is used or an endless belt studded with magnets. Used for hot dip galvanising etc. and is cheap and easy to apply.
