<p>PURPOSE:To surely stop a vehicle in a fixed position on an exclusive track, by automatically starting inching the vehicle in accordance with an instruction from an apparatus mounted on the vehicle when the vehicle is short-run. CONSTITUTION:A fixed-position zone 9 and an inching zone 10 are provided. When the vehicle is short-run and stopped in the inching zone 10, the short run is detected through an inching zone loop 2 on the ground and an inching instruction is applied to the vehicle. The vehicle is driven at an acceleration determined by a running pattern 13. When the vehicle passes by a ground device 3, a brake timing signal is transmitted from the device 3 to the vehicle to set a timer mounted on the vehicle. After a time set by the timer has elapsed, the vehicle is braked so that it is stopped in the fixed-position zone. Thus, passengers take a comfortable ride on the vehicle and it can be stopped in the fixed-position zone by one time of inching operation.</p> |
