PURPOSE:To join objects to be joined which have intricate joint faces thoroughly with extremely less joint defects, by embedding said objects in a powder mixture of B powder, a diffusion accelerator and inert carrier powder and heating the same in a nonoxidative atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Objects to be joined consist of Ni-, Co- or Fe-based alloys. Said materials are embedded in the powder of 0.3-5w/o B powder, 0.5-10w/o halide and the balance Al2O3 powder and are subjected to the B pack treatment where the materials are heated in an inert gas at 650-950 deg.C, thereby forming a metallic compd. M3B on the surfaces of the respective Ni-, Co- Fe-based alloys. After the metallic compd. is formed on the surfaces in the above-mentiond way, the materials are heated to the eutectic point of Ni and Ni3B in the case of the Ni-based alloys and likewise to the eutectic point of Co and Co3B and the eutectic point of Fe and Fe3B or above, whereby the surfaces of the materials are melted and joined. After melting, B has high affinity and the good joined parts are obtained. |
