The hydromotor used for producing water pressure on irrigating systems is fitted with a hydrocyclone-type filter. The hydrocyclone has a tangential water inlet (2), conical shell (1) with a solid impurities-catching receptacle (7). The filtered water leaves the hydrocyclone with the hydromotor (5). Solid impurities travel due to the cyclone action downwards along the tapered shell (1) and enter the receptacle (7) through the narrowest part of the shell. The receptacle (7) has a connection at the bottom discharging precipitated solid particles together with a slight amount of water via piper (8) into the exhaust pipe (6) of the hydromotor. To prevent particles larger than the inside diameter of pipe (8) from entering and clogging this pipe, the receptacle (7) is fitted with cylindrical screen having a suitable mesh size. Larger particles caught outside the screen are removed periodically. |
