ELECTRIC CONVERTING AND CONNECTING DEVICE OF OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE:To enable mounting and dismounting of an LED or photo detecting diode and an optical fiber to be performed as desired by converting these by way of a parabolic mirror at the time of connecting the LED or photo detecting diode and optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from an LED 1 is focused at the focus 5 of a parabolic reflecting surface 10 which has the quadratic curve of Y=x<2>/4d where x and y are coordinate axes and focal length is d. This light is then led into an optical fiber 3. On the other hand, the light emitted from the optical fiber 3 is reflected on the parabolic surface while being diffused and this light is received in a photo detecting diode 2. The attachment 9 for the LED 1 and photo detecting diode 2 is made in screw type to the parabolic surface 10 and concave structure 6 so that the mounting the dismounting of the LED and photo detecting diode may be done as desired simply by changing the attachment 9. The optical fiber 3 is fixed to a convex structure 7 and this convex structure 7 and concave structure 6 are fixed by means of screws 8.
