A servo valve has at least one servomotor, to which pressure medium is admitted, for moving a valve spool displaceable in a housing bore. The valve spool has radially running moving control surfaces which are acted upon by the pressure of the flow medium to be controlled and interact with radial control surfaces fixed to the housing. The servomotors have pistons (62) guided in a section (40) of the housing bore. The pistons each have at the end face one of the moving radial control surfaces (66) and are each preloaded via a spring arrangement (78), supported on the valve housing (10 to 14), in a position corresponding to the neutral positions of the valve spool (46). <IMAGE>
