The articulated vehicle has the engine driving the wheels on and has stabiliser on each side of the pivot coupling. These comprise rams attached to the rear of the front unit and operated by sensors which monitor the angle of the two vehicle units relative to the steering setting. The rams operate with spring loaded plunger to prevent jackknifing. It provides additional stability when negotiating tight curves.
