The printed circuit board has several components e.g. microprocessors or memories, connected via address, data and system buses. One or several of the buses on the board are broken at one or several places. These breaks are bridged by removable multi-core lines that run outside the board. The lines associated with any one type of bus can be removed independently of the lines associated with any other type of bus. The number of crossovers on the board is reduced and fault finding and fabrications simplified. By disconnecting the multi-core lines different components can be separated from one another and tested. The arrangement also prevents the wrong component being replaced as a result of incorrect conclusions drawn from test procedures, especially if the components are single-chip types.
|
