<p>The data transmission system comprisesa central transmitting station to which the ends of a ring-main circuit are connected. A number of loads or sub-stations are connected to the ring-circuit vi send/receive terminals. Each sender/receiver is inductively coupled to the ring-circuit via a ferrite ring core and two windings. One winding has some 10-16 turns, the other only one turn. Current pulses impressed on the line by the main transmitter induce voltages in the winding with the greater number of turns in the receiving station. The responding receiver impresses current pulses in the smaller of its two windings and voltage pulses are received at the transmitter at the high-impedance connection, i.e., at the start point of the ring-circuit.</p> |
