Digital month display for calendar - has profiled gear to provide one twelfth of revolution indexing for gear with four teeth

The gear driven display is for an electromechanical calendar and provides both day and month display. The changeover at the end of a month is provided by a differential gear unit. The main gear has 48 teeth and directly associated with it is a similar sized gear with only 4 teeth (72). The drive pinion (85) has a profiled associated pinion for meshing with the main gear. When the gear with 4 teeth goes through one revolution, the display moves through 1/12 of a revolution.
