PURPOSE:To obtain practicable high sensitivity characteristics and potential stability characteristics at the time of repeated uses by incorporating a specified disazo pigment in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate contains one of the disazo pigments represented by formula I in which each of A1 and A2 is a coupler residue having a phenolic OH group optionally same or different. The film containing said pigment has photoconductivity, and it can be used for the photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body, and the photosensitive layer can be formed by dispersing this pigment into a proper binder to form a film, thus permitting the carrier generating efficiency or carrier transfer efficiency or both in the photosensitive layer to be improved, and sensitivity and potential stability to be enhanced at the time of repeated uses. |
