PURPOSE:To reduce cost and miniaturize by arranging such that a high voltage is supplied to two ignition plugs of the same cylinder from the individual terminals of a simultaneous ignition coil. CONSTITUTION:A high voltage produced on the secondary side of a simultaneous ignition coil 2 with on-off operation of a switch section 1 is distributed in distributor sections 4 and 5 and simultaneously (i.e., doubly) applied to ignition plugs 7a and 7b, 8a and 8b, 9a and 9b and 10a and 10b of the individual cylinders. Thus, two ignition plugs of the same cylinder simultaneously effect ignition. Consequently, the number of switch sections (or contactless switches) and that of ignition coils can be reduced to one-half, thus permitting cost reduction and miniaturization. |
