Scale-preventing and corrosion-inhibiting compositions contg. at least one compound such as inorg. phosphoric acids, phosphonic acids and polyvalent metallic salts, and denatured polymers were described. General formula of denatured polymers was I(OA: 2-4C oxyalkylene group; X:OH, 1-4C alkoxy, or monophosphoric acid group ; a:constant>=1) or II(X: OH, 1-4C alkoxy, or diphosphoric acid group)
