PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of optical system by cutting off driving power when the optical system goes out of its forward and backward moving region in an exposure scanning type copying machine. CONSTITUTION:If, in the copying machine which makes scanning exposure to its photoreceptor through movement of the original platen or the forward and backward movement of an optical system 53, the optical system over-runs by failing to turn over upon moving forward and passing approach running region l1, image forming region l2 and actuates an over-run detecting switch MS by entering l3, then the optical system is forcibly and preferentially stopped in this position, whereby the optical system is prevented from colliding against the end part of the main body. |
