PURPOSE:To enable the copies of good quality to be obtained from the first sheet by stopping the drum after it has made the specified rotation when a power switch is turned OFF prior to completion of image formation and transfer in a transfer type copying machine. CONSTITUTION:In the copying machine which operates in the order of preparation PREWET of developing device, drum forward rotation INTR, drum potential controlled rotation CONTR (standby STBY when copying button is not pushed), copying operation, drum backward rotation LSTR (cleaning) upon turning ON of a sub-switch SW1 and main (power) switch SW2, the operation is immediately shifted to the backward rotation LSTR upon turning OFF of the main switch SW2 during copying and the drum is stopped after destaticizing and cleaning of the copying are completed. This enables the copies of good guality to be obtained from the first sheet after restarting. |
