PURPOSE:To obtain a nonoriented silicon steel sheet with no ridging by hot rolling a continuous-cast slab of a specified compsn. contg. C, Si, Al, etc. followed by annealing in a predetermined temp. range for a predetermined temp. CONSTITUTION:A continuous-cast slab is hot rolled consisting of C<=0.02%, Si 1.5-3.5%, Al<=0.8%, Mn 0.1-1%, a rare earth element 0.003-0.04% and/or Ca 0.001-0.01%, and the balance Fe and impurities. The contents of Ti and Zr out of the impurities to the contents of Si and Al satisfy the equation, and the impurities include S<=0.007% and O<=0.003%. The hot rolled sheet is then subjected to continuous annealing in the temp. range of the crystallization temp. to{110- 7.5X(Si+Al)%}X10.7 deg.C for below 10min or box annealing in the temp. range of the recrystallization temp. to{105-7.5(Si+Al)%}X10.7 deg.C for above 30min. |
