PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of grating robe in the whole antenna of a circular arc type array antenna by arraying the whole element antennas so that endmost 2 element arrays do not generate grating robe. CONSTITUTION:Grating robe is to be generated easily in proportion to beam scanning angle and array interval d of element antennas. In a circular arc type antenna, the beam scanning angle of endmost 2 element arrays 11 and 12 (center position angle thetao from center axsis 2) is max. Therefore, the whole element antennas are arrayed at regular intervals by mans of interval d<lambda/{1+sin(thetaO+thetaM)} by which arrays 11 and 12 do not generate grating robe to max. beam scanning angle thetaM. |
