<p>PURPOSE:To prevent shorting between influent foul water and aerating foul water and provided always stable purification ability by gradually aerating the foul water entering the aerating chamber from the point when it entered the separating chamber. CONSTITUTION:A separating chamber 2 is segmented to a plurality of chambers 2a, 2b, 2c, the respective chambers 2a, 2b, 2c being subsequently connected from the foul water inlet pipe 7 side toward the separation side by means of flow transfer pipes 9. On the other hand, air diffusing pipes 10 are disposed in the chambers 2a, 2b, 2c. The volumes of the chambers 2a thru 2c are made subsequently smaller from the inlet pipe 7 to the separating chamber 8 to make the volume of air per fixed volume of foul water in the chamber 2a smaller as compared to the other chambers 2b, 2c so that the foul water subsequently passing through the chambers 2a thru 2c is gradually aerated. The foul water aerated slightly in this way is aerated in the aeration chamber 3, after which the foul water is discharged through discharge pipe 8.</p> |
