PURPOSE:To obtain large deflection angle with small revolution angle of the control plate by changing the shape of the upstream side of the control plate. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted by the upstream flow passage 1, nozzles 2a,2b, guide walls 3a,3b, and the control plate 4 which has the bent part 4a and rotates around the shaft 5. When in operation, the flow which flows into the upstream flow passage 1 is separated into the streams Fb,Fb' above and below the control plate 4 at the uppermost flow end of the bent part 4a. At this time, if the control plate 4 is positioned downward, the flow Fb' below the plate 4 becomes the flow Fc' which attaches to the guide wall 3b, and the flow Fb above the plate 4 becomes the flow Fc drawn by the flow Fc'. As the ratio of the inlet below the plate 4 becomes larger than above the plate 4 and the speed of the current below is accelerated here by the bent part 4a, the angle of deflection alpha of the confluence FD of the flows Fc,F'c can be large. |
