<p>Feta cheese (soft cheese from Southern Europe and Middle East) is packaged under 8-20 (pref. 10-15)wt.% brine in sealed water-tight containers with a capacity of 200-2000 (pref. 250-1000)g. The cheese pref. makes up =90% (esp. 80%) of the contents of the containers, the balance being brine (pref. NaCl bride). The cheese and brine pref. occupy 95% of the capacity of the container. Suitable containers are made of plastics, glass, cellulose, wood, metal, coated paper, cardboard or textiles, with a screw-top or press-on lid. The cheese ripens in the brine and has a long shelf-life.</p> |
