METHOD OF NEASURING AUTOMATICALLY SUCCESSIVE SECTIONS OF AN ELONGATED MATERIAL

In a method of measuring ultrasonically the thickness and the eccentricity of a jacket extruded around the successive sections of a cable, a 1st. echo pulse is validated for the 1st. minimum time interval and 2nd. one validated for the 2nd. peak time interval. The ON-OFF signals are generated only by receiving the 1st. & 2nd. echo pulses, and the OFF pulse is generated only after the predetermined time interval from the generation of the 1st. echo pulse passes.
