PURPOSE:To prevent generation of flashes and an extrusion line by eliminating division of a circumferential wall of an orifice, by a method wherein a weatherstrip which is extruded under a state where it is almost not flexible or having a foreseeable flexible factor and unvulcanized is deformed partly into a fixed state by applying pressing force to the weather strip from the outside and then the same is vulcanized. CONSTITUTION:Along with introduction of an insert 39 made of a sheet metal into a head 30 also a rubber material is introduced into the head 30 through ducts 31, 33 and a plastic deformation of a hollow seal part 3 of a weather strip (w) which is extruded and in an unvulcanized state is performed partly by applying pressing force to the hollow seal part 3 from the outside. The pressing force is applied to the same by making use, for example, of a shaping device 40, the deformed parts are formed at constant intervals, vulcanization is performed by passing the same through a vulcanizing tank 37 as it is and cut the same into pieces of an even length. In addition, the shaping device 40 is provided with an amount of movement detecting device 50, control device 70 and shaping means 80 and when an amount of extrusion movement arrives at a predetermined amount of movement, a motor 91 is turned with a signal from a control device 70 and a pressing part 81 is made to approach the strip (w). This turning amount is applied to the control device 70 and controlled driving of the motor 91 is performed so that the turning amount of the motor 91 runs after a predetermined chart. |
