PURPOSE:To provide an analog type electronic watch, which has a small loss for electric-mechanical energy convertion, by connecting a capacitor in parallel with the both terminals of the coil of a step motor. CONSTITUTION:A T type FF2 is inverted upon each reception of the pulses from an input terminal 1 so that pulses are generated from NAND circuits 3 and 5 in an alternate manner. These pulses are amplified in current by buffer circuits 4 and 6 and are alternately fed to the both terminals of a coil 8 and a capacitor 7. If, at this time, the pulse width for the step motor drive is denoted at To, the capacity C of the capacitor 7 is set such that the tuning by the capacitor 7 and the coil 8 is accomplished in accordance with the righthand Equation (wherein: Lo stands for the inductance of the coil 8; and Co stands for the floating capacity). Thus, the drive pulses can be highly efficiently transmitted to the coil 8 and converted into a mechanical energy. |
