The seat of the armchair is inclined at an angle of between 5 deg. and 10 deg. to the horizontal and the main axis of the backrest forms an angle of between 8 deg. and 12 deg. with the vertical. The back rest has an enlarged head-rest fitting on top of it and linked to a rack and pinion system which enables its height to be adjustable. Both the seat and back of the chair are contoured to fit the curvature of the spine and to support the shoulders and muscles of the back and neck.
