PURPOSE:To print various characters by constituting the head for dot printer in arranging wires of variant size integrally. CONSTITUTION:A scale 3a for Chinese characters and a scale 3b for kana, alphabetical characters and numerical characters are provided for controlling dot position at printing in adjacent to a guide shaft 2 arranged in parallel with a platen 1. A printing head 4 is provided with a print wire 12 for Chinese characters and a print wire 11 for kana, alphabetical characters, numerical characters, which slides along the guide shaft together with a scale reader 6. Printing is carried out through selecting the read scale and the print wire 12 or 11 according to whether input data comes in Chinese characters or kana, alphabetical characters, numerical characters. |
