<p>The machine uses a milling cutter (2) to remove material from a silo, and now has an elongated high capacity bucket (10). Moving combs or scrapers (24) transfer the ensiled material the length of the bucket (10), and a lateral conveyor belt (32) is located at the back of the bucket. The machine is desgined to be towed by a tractor, and also equipped to couple to both the drive-shaft and the hydraulic system of the tractor. The milling cutter (2) is adjustable for height as is the bucket (10), and the cutter is mounted on a jack-operated boom (4). The bucket (10) is of a uniform trough section and also incorporates one or mor edistributor drums (31, 32). The distributors (31, 32) located at the end of the comb conveyor (24) and move the material onto the lateral conveyor (32). A chute (34) for introducing metered additives may locate above the lateral conveyor (32).</p> |
