The carrier is of flat foldable material, being particularly for bottles, and has four walls, a base, transverse ribs and a central lengthwise one, enclosing compartments open at the top, together with a handle at the top of the lengthwise rib. A single sheet is folded into an open-topped box with four walls (14, 15, 17, 19) and a base (11). This is secured to a separate component forming the ribs and handle and which fits inside it. Tw opposite walls (14, 15) may be joined to the base along grooved lines, while the other two (17, 19) are attached to the first two along grooved lines (16, 18) at right angles to the first two (12, 13). The walls are secured to each other by folding lugs (21, 23, 26, 27) pref. by gluing.
