Cable T=junction or joint - has shrink-fit sleeves enclosing sheaths of cables and ends of T=piece or straight tube

The T-junction has a T-piece (7)-or a straight tube in the case of a joint- and cover sleeves (4) that fit into the ends of the T-piece and shroud the joins in the cables' cores. The cover sleeves rest at one end on the cables' outer sheaths (1-3). Shrink-fit sheaths (5) enclose the cable outer sheaths, the cover sleeves and the ends of the T-piece. When heated, these sheaths shrink to form a stepped covering over the joints. The advantage lies in simplicity.
