The desk compendium (1) is for containing writing requirements, such as rubbers, paper clips, labels and such like, and has a slit on one side (9) with two sides. The sides have attached to them the operating parts of a hole-puncher and stapler. On one side of the hole-puncher and stapler each, is a part (5, 6) which can be pressed downwards to operate them. A lid (2) flap covers the cavity of the compendium (1) in which all the loose office materials are kept. The back (4) of the compendium is higher than the front, so that the plane of the lid (2) is at an angle of approximately 20 deg. to 45 deg. to the surface (1c) on which the compendium is based. The inside of the compendium (1) has compartments for various materials, including a horizontal one (13) for pencils.
