The display package (20) for at least one article on sale inside it, such as a cassette, is larger in size than the article for sale and has a fastening on it which is released by keans of a key. The fastening can be in the form of a snap closure or press-button. Each package (20) has at least one front (30) and back with sides which overlap when the package is closed. The opposite facing sides (88) of the container (20) have coaxial holes in which fits pins (26) which are fixed to one of two horizontal crossbars (24) of a shelf. The bottom pin (26) protrudes over the top of the bottom cross-bar (24). The container package (20) is made of plastic which is non-transparent.
