<p>Plant for the prodn. of milk of lime stock soln. from hydrated white lime is claimed. The water needed pref. is placed in the vessel before adding the hydrated lime, which is all blown in from a silo road vehicle. The soln. is widely used for environmental protection, e.g. for neutralising acid waste liquors, in gas scrubbers, for stabilising sludge contg. bacteria etc. The plant eliminates the need for static silos, saving transfer of the white lime from the silo vehicle and through dry dosing equipment (pumps etc.) into the plant. Accurately reproducible concns. can be obtd., dust formation is avoided, operating safety is increased and the height of the plant is reduced.</p> |
