<p>Deep-drawing or moulding tool comprises a base body of heat-stable, mechanically strong, material, esp. metal, and a hardened plastics layer, with an intermediate thermoplastics primer layer which softens at a temp. below the degradation temp. of the 1st plastics layer. In mfr. the primer interlayer is applied to the base body before the hardened-plastics layer. a small amt. of a hardener is admixed to the thermoplastics interlayer cpd., which also reacts with the plastics of main layer. The latter is applied before the interlayer has completely set. The interlayer may be applied by spray gun, in soln. in a non-flammable mixt. of 50/50 perchloroethylene/trichloroethane. Polystyrene is suitable.</p> |
