Optical fibre centering method for termination in well tube - guiding projecting, bared fibre end through concentric bore to central collar sealed at one end

The centering procedure is for positioning the end of an optical fibre in a well tube. The end of the bared fibred (1) is pushed through the tube (2). The fibre end projecting from the tube is guided through the concentric bore to terminate in a central collar (5) sealed at one end and extending over the well tube. The sealing compound (8) is inserted through at least one opening (9) in the cover of the collar (5). The latter (5) is removed for future use. It has an inner diameter (6) equal to the outer diameter of the well tube (2). The bore diameter (7) at the termination of the collar (5) is equal to the diameter of the fibre core.
