PURPOSE:To manufacture a product of excellent quality, by making many circular nozzles arranged in a specific shape in the long the narrow section facing to a metal strip in the lateral direction of the strip, and by heating the metal strip while applying a uniform floating power to the whole region in the lateral direction of the metal strip. CONSTITUTION:While passing through a heating apparatus 1, a metal strip 5 is transferred floatingly by a heating gas blown out of many circular nozzles arranged between plenum chambers 3, 3 by the operation of burners 6, and a fan 7, hereby it is heat-treated. That is, in a curved operation-section 10, the strip is curved wavily by the gas blown out of nozzles 11 and slit nozzles 16 arranged in a support nozzle section 11 and is transferred in such a state that the buckling-resistant stress is increased. The nozzles 13 are arranged, as shown in Figure, on the lines of many V letters, to apply a laterally uniform floating power to the strip to form uniform roofs having no small andulations in lateral direction, so that the strip 5 is transferred while being curved wavily. |
