PURPOSE:To provide a magnet alloy having superior magnetic characteristics, easy to heat treat, and exhibiting high fluidity in a molten state by simultaneously adding a specified amt. of Nb and Si to a Fe-Cr-Co type alloy. CONSTITUTION:The magnet alloy consists of Cr 17-45%, Co 3-35%, Nb 0.05- 5.0%, Si 0.10-5.0% and the balance Fe. PREPARATION:An alloy of the above compsn. is refined in a high frequency furnace, and the resulting molten alloy with very high fluidity is cast into an ingot, which is hot rolled to 5mm thickness. The plate is then heated at a soln. heat treatment temp. for about 1hr to carry out soln. heat treatment followed by reheating, treatment in a field of 4000Oe for 1hr and slow cooling at a cooling rate of 100 deg.C/16h. Thus, a magnet alloy is obtd. having superior magnetic characteristics such as residual magnetic flux density, coercive force and max. energy product. |
