PURPOSE:To easily detect any breakage of tool, by fitting two detecting switches which are activated by the amount of displacement of a detecting rod which is also displaced by the tool with regard to a detecting head. CONSTITUTION:As a table advances by a certain amount, a detecting head 19 advances toward a tool. When a detecting rod 24 comes in touch with the tip of the tool, it is moved back against a spring force with regard to the detection head 19. A command is then issued from a supplementary function to detect any breakage of the tool in accordance with the actions of pressure switches 37, 39, the table is moved back by the same amount as the slow advancement, and the detecting head 19 is moved back by a certain amount by a cylinder 21 to complete the tool detecting cycle. |
