PURPOSE:To permit a rotary speed of a printer or post-processor to match a running speed of a printing sheet by controlling the rotary speed of the printer or post- processor by integrating the detection output through detection of a making on a printing sheet. CONSTITUTION:A continous striped marking like as in a standard signal generating portion 1 is provided in the side end of a printing sheet. This marking is detected by a detection sensor 22 in a sheet position detecting portion 2, an average value of the detective output is obtained by a following integrator circuit 24 and an average value at the standard signal generating time point is determined by a following memory circuit including the gate circuit. The average value generating time point is compared by a comparating circuit 3 with the standard signal generating time point to control the synchronism between the printing sheet and printer. The marking has, for example, a continous stripe of the interval of 10mm. It is possible to arrenge such that a number of stripes substantially equal to that of the standard signal generation is counted by a counter and memorized to permit the control of the plase difference between the generation of standard signal and the count-up output. |
