A reflecting device of the type comprising a sheet of transparent material comprising a number of elevations on both sides of the sheet, whereby each elevation 52 on one side of the sheet is oriented oppositely relative to an elevation 50 on the other side of the sheet. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing such device where the elevations on one side of the sheet are uncoated and oriented so as to be caught by incoming light and the elevations on the other side of the sheet are coated with transparent micro-spheres 18. The device is manufactured by a sheet L of a thermoplastic, polymer material of an even thickness being heated, the heated sheet being brought to pass between two adjacent cylinders 10, 12 with forming cut-outs 10a, 10b; 12a, 12b in order to form elevations in said sheet, and a single layer of transparent micro-spheres is placed on one side of the sheet. |
