<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from being damaged by detecting the coil diameter of a reel in a tape pulling-out side before tape loading is started and giving suitable tape tension to correspond to this diameter. CONSTITUTION:A cassette tape is inserted to a VTR and the information of a tape thickness (e), a tape whole length L and a reel hub diameter Rh, which are obtained from a tape cassette type detector 19, are inputted to an arithmetic processing circuit 18. Next, a reel motor 14 is driven for a fixed time and a supplying side S-reel 2 and a winding side T-reel 3 are revolved. Then, the tape is wound and the S-reel 2 and T-reel 3 are reversely revolved samely for the fixed time. After that, the tape is rewound and an S-reel revolving period and a T-reel revolving period are read from an S-reel revolving period detector 16 and a T-reel revolving period detector 17 to the arithmetic processing circuit 18. In correspondence to the operated S-reel or T-reel coil diameter, the tape tension is given and the tape loading is started.</p> |
